Es profesor asistente de la Universidad de los Andes en el \u00e1rea de artes pl\u00e1sticas del Departamento de Arte, donde dicta escultura y arte en espacio p\u00fablico. Ha sido profesor, conferencista y tallerista sobre las relaciones entre Arte, Arquitectura, Escultura y Dise\u00f1o en las universidades Nacional de Colombia y Javeriana en Bogot\u00e1.<\/p>\n<p>Sus obras se han presentado desde 1997 en numerosas exposiciones colectivas e individuales en Alemania, Colombia, Egipto, Estados Unidos y Francia, Jap\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Los trabajos site-specific de Guzmanruiz buscan construir puentes entre el arte y la arquitectura. Las intervenciones intersectan, se superponen, desbordan, clonan o deforman el lugar de exhibici\u00f3n. Mientras algunas tienen su origen en el despliegue espacial de un dibujo o una pintura, otras parten del espacio arquitect\u00f3nico existente transform\u00e1ndolo y generando alteraciones en su percepci\u00f3n. El objeto de estudio en las primeras obras, que se moldean con un lenguaje principalmente geom\u00e9trico, se orienta a indagar c\u00f3mo percibimos y recorremos los seres humanos el espacio arquitect\u00f3nico, y a c\u00f3mo nos relacionamos a trav\u00e9s de los objetos. Desde 2007 sus trabajos de mediano y peque\u00f1o formato exploran la posibilidad de relacionar mundos paralelos, en donde se busca dar forma a la ausencia, las huellas del tiempo y la muerte.<\/p>\n<p>En las obras se lee una constante en la utilizaci\u00f3n de pocos elementos y materiales apelando a una comunicaci\u00f3n universal con el visitante, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 una cultura espec\u00edfica.
