Sin dejar de lado las diferencias entre una y otra pol\u00edtica, el acto violento en contra de una imagen y la adoraci\u00f3n de esta comparten una creencia por el poder de la imagen: son dos caras de una misma moneda.\u00a0<em>Destrucci\u00f3n y culto<\/em>\u00a0busca indagar esas pol\u00edticas y mirar c\u00f3mo est\u00e1n \u00edntimamente ligadas a procesos de sometimiento propios de una pol\u00edtica imperial y colonial. A partir de diversos casos de estudio trasatl\u00e1nticos, dibuja un panorama rico en matices que ponen en evidencia la complejidad de la cultura visual de los siglos XVI y XVII en los territorios de
