La cita ser\u00e1 el pr\u00f3ximo jueves<\/strong> 12\u00a0<\/strong>de mayo <\/strong>desde la 1:00 p.m.<\/strong> en la Sala de M\u00fasica Ernesto Martin<\/strong> (sal\u00f3n V-101).<\/p>\n

En este concierto, Juana Monsalve<\/strong> y Andr\u00e9s Villamil<\/strong> interpretar\u00e1n canciones del repertorio andino colombiano y latinoamericano. Compositores como Luis Enrique Arag\u00f3n Farkas<\/strong>, Luz Marina Posada<\/strong>, Gustavo Adolfo Renjifo<\/strong> y Chabuca Granda<\/strong>, entre otros, hacen parte de la selecci\u00f3n de piezas para esta ocasi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Juana Monsalve<\/strong><\/h3>\n

La mezzo-soprano Juana Monsalve es doctora en canto y pedagog\u00eda vocal de la Universidad de North Texas y maestra en canto de Longy School of Music.<\/p>\n

Juana cuenta con una amplia experiencia como cantante solista en Colombia y Estados Unidos. Adem\u00e1s de su experiencia como cantante cl\u00e1sica, Juana es tambi\u00e9n int\u00e9rprete de m\u00fasica tradicional. En 2011, fue ganadora del concurso Hatoviejo Cotrafa, y ha sido finalista en otras competencias de m\u00fasica colombiana y latinoamericana.<\/p>\n

Juana ha sido ganadora de prestigiosos premios acad\u00e9micos como la Beca Carolina, la P.E.O International Peace Scholarship<\/em>, la beca GREAT Travel Grant<\/em> para realizar investigaci\u00f3n musical en Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, la beca de investigaci\u00f3n musical de la Orquesta Filarm\u00f3nica de Bogot\u00e1, y el Small Grants Program<\/em> de la Embajada de Estados Unidos para la realizaci\u00f3n de la \u00f3pera As One<\/em> de la compositora Laura Kaminsky.<\/p>\n

Actualmente, Juana se desempe\u00f1a como profesora del \u00e1rea de canto en la Universidad de los Andes, donde desarrolla su carrera investigativa sobre temas de inclusi\u00f3n y diversidad en la m\u00fasica acad\u00e9mica y canci\u00f3n art\u00edstica.<\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9s Villamil<\/strong><\/h3>\n

El guitarrista y compositor colombiano Andr\u00e9s Villamil estudi\u00f3 en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia y luego en la escuela superior de m\u00fasica de Colonia, Alemania. (Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Tanz K\u00f6ln). Ejerce la docencia desde 1996. Como solista se ha presentado en varios pa\u00edses de Suram\u00e9rica y Europa.<\/p>\n

Andr\u00e9s ha grabado 8 producciones discogr\u00e1ficas de guitarra cl\u00e1sica y latinoamericana. Escribi\u00f3 y public\u00f3 su primer libro \u00abGuitarra Colombiana\u00bb, una recopilaci\u00f3n de ritmos colombianos para guitarra. Adicionalmente a su formaci\u00f3n cl\u00e1sica, Andr\u00e9s se enfoca en la m\u00fasica de Latinoam\u00e9rica. Sus composiciones est\u00e1n influenciadas por la m\u00fasica de su pa\u00eds natal Colombia.\u00a0Actualmente es profesor de guitarra de la Universidad de los Andes en Bogot\u00e1, Colombia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
